How to cleanse your face and remove make up
Skincare – skin care – is an important step in our daily life and as such requires consistency and attention. Find out how to cleanse your face naturally and deeply.
In fact, having the right skin care and avoiding harmful habits has a great influence on the aging and health of the dermis, preventing wrinkles and blemishes. Let's start by explaining the 2 daily steps of skincare: cleansing & removing make-up.
How to cleanse your face naturally
Cleansing: should be carried out every morning to remove sebum and impurities, such as dust or sweat, which can accumulate on the face during the night.
A foaming product to rinse off is generally ideal and should be chosen based on the type of skin (if dry, oily or combination), its condition (if dermatitis or serious blemishes are present) and also based on the season (depending on winter the skin tends to be drier for example).
On the market we find various alternatives for every situation, from the classic solid bar of soap to the mousse, from the gel detergent to the creamier one. We then move on to hydration with a specific cream and possibly a facial serum to enhance its effect.
An important tip for knowing how to cleanse your face is to choose a day face cream with SPF, sun protection factor, since the skin of the face is constantly exposed to sun rays, even in the city and in winter. In addition to cosmetic products, we can integrate our facial cleansing with special accessories.
For example, with sponges, exfoliating cloths or facial massagers, we can make the cleansing deeper and facilitate the absorption of the moisturizing cream.
Make-up removal: this is also a very important step in the beauty routine if you apply the make up daily basis. Going to sleep with your face made up is a very bad habit to be carefully avoided, in fact make-up does not allow the skin to breathe and this leads to the formation of pimples and blackheads which are much more difficult to remove than make up.
There is also a great risk for the health of the eyes, which can more easily be subject to blemishes such as dark circles and falling eyelashes but also more serious problems such as infections and allergies, if we do not remove eye make-up correctly every day. The products to use are varied and can be chosen based on the type of make-up used: liquid make-up removers or make-up remover wipes are perfect for removing not too heavy make-up, while if we have done heavy or waterproof make-up it is better to use a biphasic make-up remover or a milk detergent.
Even a natural oil can be a valid alternative for yours skincare, in case of sensitive skin, to remove important make-up without having to rub the skin too much. After this step, the face must be rinsed and hydrated with the products used for cleansing, as explained above.
